Leading institutional planning & performance
The Directorate is mandated to lead institutional planning, strategic development, and performance monitoring — promoting sustainable growth, efficient resource utilization, and informed decision-making across the University. In fulfillment of its mandate, it is responsible for:
Formulate, coordinate, and review the University's strategic plans, policies, and development frameworks in line with the University's vision and statutory objectives.
Guide the planning and implementation of institutional development programmes and capital projects, including rehabilitation and long-term development of the University's physical infrastructure.
Develop and institutionalize planning, budgeting, and resource-allocation frameworks to support the preparation of development and recurrent budgets aligned to strategic priorities.
Monitor and evaluate institutional plans, programmes, and projects using approved performance indicators and results-based management frameworks.
Establish and manage institutional planning data systems to support evidence-based planning, policy formulation, management, and reporting.
Coordinate the development of institutional projects, including engagement with development partners, to ensure coherence, strategic alignment, and compliance with approved frameworks.
